Australian Bureau of Statistics figures released today show that Geelong has lost 3,600 full-time jobs since Daniel Andrews came to office in December.

The number of people in full-time jobs in Geelong has fallen from 76,300 in December 2014 to 72,700 in October 2015.

Since December 2014, 9,800 full-time jobs have been lost in regional Victoria.

Comments attributable to Member for South Barwon Andrew Katos;

Daniel Andrews promised the people of Geelong that he had a jobs plan.

So far that jobs plan has seen 3600 less full-time jobs in Geelong since he came to office.

Labor’s Back to Work Scheme has been exposed as a dud as well as the Bay West Port being a jobs hoax.

Comments attributable to Shadow Treasurer Michael O’Brien;

Daniel Andrews came to office promising to create 100,000 full-time jobs in two years but almost a year on and 3,600 full-time jobs have been lost across the Geelong region.

Under Daniel Andrews, Lisa Neville and John Eren the growth of Geelong has stalled and Labor’s promise of new jobs is all talk and no action.

At a time when we need to be creating jobs in the Geelong region, Daniel Andrews is too busy releasing glossy brochures, rather than working to create real jobs in regional Victoria.
